guiguito has written a Java API, WiiuseJ, that wraps and binds wiiuse for Java developers.

I like the name, can't think of a better one.

It's not such much an 'ad' as it is a community announcement

If it's relevant and it would be of interest then why not post it in the news? (wiibrew style)
