I'm working on a new program that is built off of wiiuse.

What is this program about?

It will extend wiiuse.

It is currently ~85% done (minus any testing). I may do an alpha release soon, not sure yet.

It was originally designed for Linux (since that's the OS I use), but I don't think there is a whole lot that would need to be changed in order to make it work on Windows. If there is an alpha release it may only be for Linux.

Gesture recognition ?

My project (mentioned in viewtopic.php?f=1&t=86) on this subject is also almost done, it need some polish on Linux port and a final GUI for the gesture creation. Release (lib+source, Linux & Windows) aimed by the end of the month.
I can provide a stable work-in-progress version if you are interested :)

It's not gesture recognition, that's way too mathy for me. But I am happy to see that someone is working on it as I'm sure it would be very popular among the wiimote community. Do you have a website yet? I could set you up with an xxx.wiiuse.net DNS entry, just need a host (sourceforge is always good).

There are some minor alterations I've had to make in wiiuse that will make it compatible with the new program though, which is why there has not yet been any additional information or release yet.

I don't have a website yet. I will certainly use sourceforge and your DNS entry if you don't change your mind :p , but I will think about these details later.

Gesture recognition using neural nets, HMMS (hidden markov models) or others techniques ?

any news for this program ?

It's coming along. Most of the funtionality is there but it's still pretty buggy. I think this project may be of particular interest to the guys who are working on Wii homebrew though. Still a good tool for PC users though (I'm using it myself obviously).

When I release it (beta maybe?) I'll have to release v0.12 of wiiuse too since there are a couple changes that were needed for compatibility.

I am waiting the approval from SourceForge to host the project

The project is crossplatform, tested on Windows, Ubunutu and PS3-Linux under Fedora, but the only graphical sample is Windows only (because of my lack of knowledge for crossplatform GUI library)

For the moment, the only available documentation is with doxygen.
I will write a nicer doc when I'll have some time, university projects keeps me quite busy.
